News: July 2004
We have returned from our trip
to Uganda! It was a fabulous time, and we accomplished so much! The
main goals of education, well-building, and free medical clinics
were accomplished - stay tuned for detailed reports of our successes
coming soon!
News: February 2004
We have initiated a partnership
with Unite for Sight! Unite for Sight is an organization that works
on the health issues related to vision worldwide. UFS will be
sending 2 volunteers with our program this summer to perform vision
screenings and work on other community eye health programs. See

The application deadline has
passed, with many applications received! We are currently putting
the finishing details on our volunteer list.
News: January 2004
Meeting in Buffalo, NY: Voted
on changing dates for the program in order to allow all interested
volunteers to come. Program dates have been changed to June 2nd-July
14th.
IFMSA-USA conference in
Chicago: Kirk, Alison, and several of our applicants for this summer
were in attendance. We met the leaders of the other village projects
and had an amazing time collaborating and learning with them!

Meeting in Rochester, NY on
11/2/03: Approved idea for instituting satellite projects in the
Iganga district for the coming year. Goal for 2004 recruitment is 30
volunteers and 5-6 satellite project leaders. Discussed pending
grant apps.
